Artist's Comments

Requested by =bidujador; General Grievous' species, the warlike Kaleesh.

These guys are pretty cool, although I've honestly seen some fan art interpretations of them that I like better.

W00t! I prefer Grievous himself to the canon Kaleesh designs, but they are an interesting species--and they have cool feet. XD Which I couldn't fit on the stamp. Woe is me--maybe I'll make a Kaleesh feet stamp. LOL

yea me too, but they are so cool (feet and all)! whats really cool about them is that Grand Admiral Thrawn couldnt read their tactics by their art (which made him consider the battle of Kalee a total failure) so he had to just do an orbital bombardment instead =(

oh and if you build the Kaleesh feet stamp they will come (sorry for the lame movie reference)

LOL, I get the movie reference. XD Maybe I will, if I'm feeling sufficiently silly and not like making so many stamps makes me a failure as an artist--or if you really want me to. ^_^

I don't know much about Thrawn--when did he encounter the Kaleesh?

haha ok good, i couldnt help myself. oh i would totally fav it! and i have seen ppl put them on their journals...dont know how to do that myself personally...but yea!

umm...i know it was while palpz was still in control...so somewhere during the movies but waaaaay out on the other side of the outer rim...kinda near wild space if i remember correctly. honestly, read every book by Timothy Zahn...he writes one amazing star wars book (his first trilogy features thrawn...it should be made into the next trilogy)

lol, we'll see. XD

I believe you have to have a subscription to put a stamp in your journal.

See, I didn't like the famous Zahn trilogy. I read them (I must admit that I read them a long time ago and probably out of order, because it was the first Star Wars books I got a hold of) and I found them boringly militaristic (and far too full of Mara Jade). So I don't quite get the hype.

So this Thrawn and Kaleesh thing was in Outbound Flight? I wonder only because Thrawn was created long before Grievous' backstory came out.

lolz

ah ok...i think youre right on that.

really?? i loved em, and then reading the rest of his books ties the original 3 together even better. (ok so i do enjoy the militaristic side of em) but the other books take a less militaritic role in the storyline

no, there were a few comics that spilled about the battle of Kalee. its a very interesting series considering thrawn's genius was pitted against the Kaleesh's total random ragedness and he loses
